I met with Athena & Kenta last year when they decided to book me as their wedding photographer. We tried to do their engagement photos in the fall but it got too cold too fast! We met at Fort Williams Park and apart from it being a little windy the weather was perfect.
Although I'm a photographer I absolutely hate having my picture taken so I know how uncomfortable it can be for people to sit in front of my camera for an hour smiling. In most cases, that means I get to goof off to loosen people up but it works every time! I love the natural smiles and carefree laughs much more than the posed smiles. It brings out something in the photo you don't otherwise get to see. Here are a few of the final images!

Meet Parker Ellis Brooks.
His mom, Nicole, had a C-section on Friday and I swooped in first thing Saturday morning to capture this beautiful baby boy. I have photographed many of Nicole's life happenings including her wedding, maternity and baby shower pictures so I was very excited to capture Parker's newborn hospital session. When I first got there he was sleeping but towards the end of the session he opened his eyes long enough to say hello. Without further ado, I give you Parker! Where to start with this cute little one?
I got the message last night that mom had just delivered little Irie (pronounced eye-REE) and would be ready this morning to have her photos done. Irie was a dream to photograph. She stayed asleep the entire time. She didn't make a peep as we changed her clothes and exposed her to the cold. I just love her cute little sweater jumper. It was beautiful for photos ! Without further ado I give you Ms. Irie We almost thought about canceling as the forecast turned from sunny to cloudy with scattered rain. However we held out til the last moment and although the sky was a bit dreary the weather was good and near the end of our session the sky cleared up and out came the sun! You could see the love radiating from these two once they got comfortable behind the camera!
